What's new
This update improves behind-the-scenes database management, reduces bugs, and makes commands more consistent across the app.
- Improved database management: optimized migrations, better indexing, and more resilient connection pooling to reduce downtime and speed up queries. This builds upon our new Game Management System introduced in our Version 3 Update.
- Elo Autoroles: added automatic role assignment based on player Elo ratings to help identify skill levels within Discord servers.
- Better error handling: clearer logging, retry logic for transient failures, and friendlier user-facing error messages so issues are easier to diagnose and recover from.
- Consistent commands: standardized command names and aliases, improved parsing, and fewer edge-case behaviors across the Discord bot. Click here for a list of all the new commands.
- New Board and Piece Themes: added all-new board theme colors, including limited-time holiday themes.
- New Discord statuses: additional fun rotating statuses to add personality and keep things lively.
- Minor bug fixes: various small fixes and performance tweaks based on user feedback to improve overall stability and responsiveness.
